MOUSSE
Ingredients:
- Ripe avocados
- Cacao powder
- Honey
- Coconut milk
- Vanilla extract
- Fresh orange (Optional)
Preparation:
- Blend the avocados while you
add gradually the vanilla, cacao and honey to taste, then adjust the
consistency by adding the coconut milk. To get a perfect creamy mousse use a
food processor. (You can use a staff mixer but it’s going to be chunky and not so
creamy)
- You can add some orange
juice to prevent the oxidation of the avocado.
- Once it’s creamy and you like the taste, put it in the fridge for
later.
BASE
Ingredients:
- Oats (fine for a moist base,
normal for a crispy one)
- Shredded Coconut
- Honey
- Vanilla extract
- Any nut butter
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven at 160° degrees
- Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. (As a
proportion I tried 2 parts Oats, 1 part fine Coconut)
- Add the nut butter, vanilla and honey to bind
the mix (It has to be moist enough to stay together as a dough)
- Spread the dough in a cake mold, or in a tray
with baking paper.
- Bake in the oven until the edges get some
color and the center is firm (15 to 20 min. Approx.)
- Take it out of the oven and let it cool down
- Once it’s at room temperature, you can fill
it with the avocado mix and put it back into the fridge for at least one hour.
- You can add fruits and nuts as you please, be creative! =)
Enjoy!
